Yeah. I've got plenty of lettuce. [He decides to just throw out the ruined papers, gathering them up and moving to the kitchen area where he shoves them into the trash and turns to open the fridge. Apparently he has lettuce but as can be expected of a guy who skips meals, there isn't much in there. He'll just take a few seconds to wash the vegetable and get some leaves and bring them over on some paper towels.] Here.

[.... Matt gestures to the rabbit. It's yours. Feed it.]

[You looked like you wanted to. He will do so though, tearing one of the leaves into smaller pieces and sticking them through the bars. Tono will chew on them contently.]

[It's still your rabbit.]

Agreeable, huh?

I guess so... [He will feed his new charge dutifully.] Tono though. The Lord, huh? what a rabbit.

He's a pretty nice rabbit. He's not really skittish or anything.

Mmm. [He has no idea but he likes the rabbit.] You know anything about caring for rabbits? I've never had a pet.

I can look it up. It can't be hard, right?

I don't think so. I can look stuff up, too.

[He sighs and shakes his head.] Geez, I'm lucky this apartment allows pets. Most of my family's got allergies so it's not like I would've been able to ask any of them. At least it's the rabbit instead of that weird girl he was talking to...

I've never heard of anyone echoing back a person... [A long, long beat.]

I sure as hell hope no one can echo a person.

I sure hope so too, but. It wasn't a person. She was like, living in his computer? He was talking to some girl floating inside his computer screen.

... Think that still counts as people? I remember a robot girl, too.

I hope so because I'd rather not echo back a girl who's going to start calling me "Master." I don't want that. I don't need that.

But it looks peaceful enough. Nothing so far's looked destroyed or messed up. Just the first one.

If there's anything that can get echoed back... a healthy body would be nice, for one of the guys I share memories with.

Be careful what you wish for. [What if the guy's body isn't human? What if he's sicker or younger or older?

[He laughs a little. But he drops that subject and leans to peer at the rabbit instead, a hand on his cage.]

I wonder if he remembers the other Shintaro. He probably does, huh? Poor guy probably has no idea what's going on.

Maybe. I guess it depends on if he's got memories...

I think if I didn't have memories and suddenly appeared in a strange apartment with two humans staring at me I would still be scared.

He's not running away, at least. And he's eating.

It's a better start than anything else. I'll go buy stuff for him later -- the store shoudl still be open.

You should get him a pen, too.
